Bob Coates, M.Div., LMFT (TN), LPC (TN and VA), LMHC (FL) – Founder/Clinical Director
Bob has been a practicing psychotherapist since 1978 and has spent that past 2 decades consulting and leading healthcare clinics, practices, and healthcare related business. At one time his experience took operations and his companies to 19 states. Currently Bob’s passion is in assisting those with addictions in both healthcare and pain management which is the impetus for the SyMedica Network and American Academy of Professionals Health Programs.
SyMedica, was established with the mission to provide educational, consulting, recovery and support solutions for healthcare professionals, their patients and their families. APRN was developed to provide ongoing support to those professionals after they have served their mandated state programs who currently have no formal method by which to continue to stay clean afterward.
Additionally, Bob has served as pastor of local Baptist congregations in Texas and Tennessee. He has been in an executive healthcare practitioner since 1987, having multiple locations of his clinical practice. In 1993, Bob added his skills to his clinical practice and proprietary network of healthcare entities as a clinical, operational, and fiscal consulting practice as a healthcare compliance professional and continuing education provider, assisting hospitals, hospital networks, physician groups, and legal firms representing healthcare practitioners.
Bob’s community service includes starting of the Caduceus Recovery Foundation. CRF provides scholarships to those healthcare professionals that might otherwise to left financially devastated by being placed into a recovery/caduceus program.
Laura Y. Pulido, MSN ARNP-BC – Director Pain Management Consulting
Laura has spent the past decade of her career exclusively in assisting those suffering from pain to get better outcomes in several different clinics and practices. Her passion to help those suffering from pain drove her to team up with co-author/developer Bob Coates to develop the pain patient compliance protocol and scale (PPCP). The PPCP is a specialized protocol for treating pain patients which helps provide a more effective method of pain reduction while reducing the chances of complications through addictive behaviors.
She also has 30 years of leadership, management and clinical experience in healthcare. During her care Laura has operated in a wide-array of roles and specialties in various facets of healthcare. These included time in women’s health, pediatrics, cardiac care, and surgery. Laura also spent time in sales roles for disease management, pharmaceuticals, and medical quality assurance. Laura has extensive knowhow in training and education having served both as a corporate trainer and adjunct faculty member at the University of Tampa.
In her spare time Laura also servers the community. She serves the Make-a-Wish Foundation and is active in international mission work in the Dominican Republic.
